Work and Pensions Select Committee Plan for Jobs and Employment Support report Published The Work and Pensions Select Committee Plan for Jobs and Employment Support report has been published with several recommendations closely aligned to those set out in the written evidence submitted by Disability@Work, the verbal evidence given to the Committee by Disability@Work’s Kim Hoque; and with the Disability Employment Charter.
In particular, the Committee’s recommendations on Disability Confident are very much in line with our own regarding the need for employers to meet disability employment thresholds at levels 2 and 3.
The Committee also makes several other recommendations that are consistent with the Disability Employment Charter, of which Disability@Work is a founder member. On Access to Work, the Committee calls for a promotional campaign, the introduction of adjustment passports, and upgrades to e-systems. It also calls for an enhanced role for Disability Employment Advisors.
