Creating an inclusive employment future for disabled people

Creating an inclusive employment future for disabled people

A wide-ranging discussion at the RSA online workshop on 16 June chaired by Liz Sayce was attended by disabilty@work with Melanie Jones presenting research on the impact of recession on work outcomes for disabled people. The debate covered action for employers: fair retention and new learning on flexible working; local agency priorities to include DPO partnerships; Government leadership to include employer reporting on employment and pay of disbled people and using the Social Value Act to use funding levers as incentives to good practice and good outcomes; and opportunities to exert pressure for equalities alongside allies in the context of COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter.
